Availability: Usually leaves our shipping department same or next business day. We are open 7 days per week and 17 hours per day, so if you order on the weekends, we can ship to you by Federal Express Next Day or 2nd Day even on a Saturday or Sunday for an extra charge.

Weight: The brass urn is 6.5 pounds, but with the velvet display box and 1 keepsake urn it weighs 9 pounds.

Volume of adult urn: 220 to 230 cubic inches. This urn is designed for a loved one with a healthy weight of 240 pounds or less before cremation.

Volume of Keepsake: 3 cubic inches.

We sell these same brass urns to the funeral homes for the same price that we sell to you. They usually charge between $250 to $350 to the retail buyer for this same urn. Buy directly from us, and save hundreds of dollars. When a funeral home typically charges $8000 for a funeral service plus casket (they typically pay $1000 for an average casket), they are not interested in making $30 on an urn. You understand.

Normally if you do not buy the urn from the funeral home, they will hand you the ashes in a cardboard box. This is done to persuade you to buy one of their $250 to $400 urns.
